By accessing or using Responder Ready's website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with these terms, you may not use our services. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

The Paramedic Guide, Simulator, and LMS (collectively, the "Digital Tools") are provided solely for educational and reference purposes. The Digital Tools are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, currency, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
The following clauses apply specifically to the Responder Ready Paramedic Guide, including all medical directives, charts, and dosage calculators. By accessing or using the Paramedic Guide, you acknowledge and accept each of the terms below.
The Responder Ready Paramedic Guide, including all directives, charts, and dosage calculators, is intended solely for educational, training, and simulation purposes. This software is not a certified medical device, has not been evaluated or licensed by Health Canada as Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or manage any medical condition.
This application does not provide medical advice or direct patient care. Use of this application does not replace, supersede, or modify the user's independent clinical assessment, judgment, or standard of care. The treating clinician maintains 100% sole legal and professional responsibility for all clinical decisions, patient assessments, drug choices, and interventions.
All drug dosage calculations, concentration conversions, and pediatric estimations generated by this tool are strictly reference aids. The user must independently verify all calculated dosages, units, and rates against physical base hospital reference manuals and authorized formulary documentation prior to patient administration.
This application is an independent third-party tool and is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sanctioned by Health Canada, the Ontario Ministry of Health, the Ontario Base Hospital Group (OBHG), or any specific Paramedic Service or Regional Base Hospital Program. In any case of conflict or ambiguity, official service-issued Medical Directives (e.g., ALS PCS / BLS PCS) and direct Online Medical Consultation (BHP) take absolute precedence over this software.
This software and its content are provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis without warranty of any kind, whether express, statutory, or implied. Responder Ready expressly disclaims all warranties regarding completeness, accuracy, timeliness, or absence of transcription/typographical errors. Content may become outdated as clinical directives evolve.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Responder Ready, its owners, developers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages, including but not limited to personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice claims, or regulatory discipline arising out of or in connection with the access, use, or reliance on this software. By using this tool, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claims, actions, or damages resulting from your clinical practice or use of the application.
First-launch acknowledgement: Users are required to review and accept these clinical disclaimer terms via an "I Understand & Agree" prompt before first accessing the directive list or dosage calculator, and again whenever these terms are materially updated.
The following acknowledgements form an integral part of these Terms. By accessing the Digital Tools — in particular the Paramedic Guide, clinical calculators, and Simulator — you acknowledge and accept each clause below.
Responder Ready is operated by Responder Ready Training Inc., an incorporated entity registered under the laws of Ontario/Canada. The website, its domain, and all Digital Tools are held by the Corporation. These Terms bind the user to Responder Ready Training Inc., not to any individual developer, instructor, or owner. No individual owner, director, officer, or instructor of the Corporation accepts personal liability for claims arising from the use of the Digital Tools or services; all liability, to the extent permitted by law, rests with the Corporation.
Under Ontario's Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA) and the Ambulance Act, the administration of medications and the performance of invasive procedures are Controlled Acts. Paramedics may perform such acts only under delegated medical authority granted by a certified Base Hospital Medical Director through the ALS Patient Care Standards (ALS PCS) and the applicable Medical Directives. Medical delegation flows solely from the paramedic's respective Regional Base Hospital Program (RBHP). This application does not confer, grant, modify, or supplement any medical delegation, clinical authorization, standing order, or controlled-act authority. The tool is a passive reference aid and does not direct, recommend, or trigger the execution of any directive; the decision to act rests entirely with the treating paramedic under their RBHP delegation and online medical consultation (BHP).
Medical directives such as the Ontario ALS PCS and BLS PCS are works published by the King's Printer for Ontario / Ontario Ministry of Health and the Ontario Base Hospital Group (OBHG), and are protected by Crown copyright under the Copyright Act. Content derived from the Advanced Life Support Patient Care Standards (ALS PCS) is used in this application for educational reference only. Responder Ready does not use proprietary logos, crests, or official insignia of the Ministry of Health, Ornge, the OBHG, or any Regional Base Hospital Program. This application is not published by, licensed by, endorsed by, or affiliated with the King's Printer for Ontario or the Ontario Base Hospital Group.
Interactive features and clinical calculators are not designed, intended, or permitted to receive or store Personal Health Information as defined under Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Do NOT input real patient names, OHIP numbers, dates of birth, or any identifying health records into any interactive feature, calculator, note, or Simulator field. Enter only de-identified, fictional, or simulation data. The application is stateless with respect to clinical entries: temporary inputs (such as patient weight or calculator fields) are not written to persistent server logs and are cleared upon navigation or page refresh. Where the application does store user-specific data (e.g., bookmarks or notes), it stores only the user's own de-identified annotations and never patient health information.
Ontario's Good Samaritan Act, 2001 protects individuals who, in good faith and without expectation of compensation, voluntarily render emergency first aid at the immediate scene of an emergency. Users are expressly notified that the Act does not protect the publisher or provider of this software, any commercial business, or any on-duty paramedic performing their regular employment duties. The Act also provides no protection against allegations of gross negligence, including any defect, error, or omission in clinical content such as a medication dosage table. Accordingly, this application is not a substitute for authorized directives, formal training, or professional clinical judgment, and reliance on it in the field is at the user's sole risk.
Users are reminded that employer service policies and Base Hospital documentation require adherence to authorized clinical sources during active clinical service. The use of any third-party reference application — including this one — does not replace or override the authorized directives, standard operating procedures, or medical delegation issued by a paramedic's employer service and Regional Base Hospital Program. Responder Ready is not responsible for any adverse employment, disciplinary, or regulatory outcome arising from a user's reliance on this tool during active duty.
You must be at least 16 years of age to register for our courses. Certain courses may have additional prerequisites or requirements.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update this information as necessary to maintain its accuracy.
Course bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel bookings at our discretion.
All course fees are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Payment is due at the time of booking or as otherwise agreed.
We accept payment by credit card, debit card, e-transfer, or other methods as specified. All payments are processed securely.
Refunds are subject to our cancellation policy. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled course may be eligible for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours may incur fees or forfeit payment. No-shows are not eligible for refunds.
Full attendance is required to receive certification. Late arrival or early departure may result in non-certification.
Courses involve physical activity including kneeling and performing chest compressions. Participants should be physically capable of completing all course requirements.
Participants must conduct themselves professionally and respectfully. We reserve the right to remove participants who engage in disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior without refund.
Certifications are issued by the American Heart Association upon successful completion of course requirements. Responder Ready is an authorized AHA Training Center. Certification validity periods are determined by the issuing body. Participants are responsible for maintaining current certifications.
Participants may cancel or reschedule bookings according to our cancellation policy. Contact us as soon as possible to discuss options.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule courses due to insufficient enrollment, instructor availability, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, participants will receive full refunds or the option to transfer to another course date.
All content on our website and in our courses, including text, graphics, logos, and course materials, is the property of Responder Ready or its content suppliers and is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws. Course materials are provided for personal use only and may not be reproduced or distributed without written permission.
To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario law:
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.
You agree to indemnify and hold Responder Ready, its instructors, and affiliates harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services, violation of these terms, or violation of any rights of another party.
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Ontario, or in the courts of Ontario.
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
